Traditional Danish Christmas Food
In Denmark we have lots of traditions in December. We watch Christmas calendars every day from 1st December to 24rd December. The television companies makes a new one every year. It's mostly for kids but there are some adult Christmas calendars too. In Denmark we eat peanuts for Christmas, but it is not normal peanuts it's more like a little cookie that is round shaped.
We also eat a lot of brown cookies. It's flat and brown. Many people also eat lots of sweetmeats. In Denmark we also eat rice pudding with lots of cinnamon and butter.

We also eat rice à l'impératrice which is made of rice pudding but it's much more sweet and we eat it with cherry sauce and there is a whole almond in it and the person who finds it gets a gift. On Christmas Eve most people eat roast pork. It comes from the back of the pig. The pork rinds is very crispy and most people love them.
